Those travelling on Tuesday are being asked to check with their airline before flying.

Passengers who have plans to travel on Tuesday, 3 April have been advised to check with their airline before travelling this morning, as a number of flights have been cancelled at Dublin Airport.

The cancellations and delays are due to a thick, dense fog which blanketed the capital city on Tuesday morning.

In a tweet, Dublin Airport confirms that the delays are a direct result of dense fog on the airfield.

At time of writing, four flights connecting Dublin to Paris and Dublin to Stockholm have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

As well as this, it’s been reported that at least 40 arriving flights have been delayed due to the thick fog.

However, the delays are currently minimal with departing flights taking off around 10 minutes later than scheduled.

According to Met Éireann, the foggy start to the morning should be cleared by Tuesday afternoon.

“Cloudy and wet today with further spells of rain. After a foggy start it will clear up for a time this afternoon but the clearance will be short lived with more rain coming up from the south later.

“Temperatures will range between 10 and 12 degrees and winds will become fresh to strong southerly.”

To check the status of your flight this morning, you can do so by visiting the Dublin Airport website and visiting either the Live Arrivals or Live Departures sections.
