Here are the details of Dublin’s homecoming party on Monday

Does it count as a homecoming if they never actually left home?

Dublin’s senior footballers will celebrate with the Sam Maguire trophy in Smithfield Plaza on Monday evening. The Dubs overcame Mayo win their third All-Ireland Final in as many years on Sunday, and festivities for the win will begin at 6:30pm in Dublin 7… though we suspect there may be some festivities underway in Coppers tonight.

Dublin City Council, who shared the info on the celebration, have clarified that the party will be a family-friendly and alcohol-free event.

The council also warned that the Smithfield Luas stop may be closed for the two hours between 6pm and 8pm.
