The Irish Sea was struck by two earthquakes early this morning as the British Geological Survey recorded two separate quakes of differing magnitudes off the east coast.

The North West of the UK had reports that residents felt the tremor in places such as Blackpool and Fleetwood.

The first of the two quakes was measured at a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale at 5.37am, while the second was a stronger 3.3, and was recorded at 9.58am.

Both of the quakes qualify as minor on the scale, and while the epicentre hit closer to England, let us know if you felt any tremors where you were.
