The reports emerged on Tuesday…

Donald Trump and Buzzfeed News are at the centre of a swirling controversy for the last 24 hours after the high profile website published unverified documents alleging deep ties between the President-elect and Russia.

The document was alluded to by CNN in a report on Tuesday who claimed a two page report on the document had been presented to President Obama and Trump by intelligence officials.

Buzzfeed said it made the decision to publish the full 35 page document, “So that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government.”

Trump, as is his standard practice nowadays, took to Twitter to address the allegations levelled against him.

Donald Trump’s longtime lawyer Michael Cohen vehemently denied the allegations in an interview with Yahoo News on Tuesday, stating that he’d never even been to the Czech Republic so claims he met with Russian officials there during the campaign are completely unfounded. He says his passport proves as much.

Trump subsequently retweeted his lawyer’s Tweet of his passport.

He then shared an article claiming the reports are fake news.
