Donald Trump may have really thrown himself under the bus here.
US President Donald Trump is fond of a tweet, as we’re sure you know, and when you tweet as much as him, you’re bound to make a couple of mistakes.
But as mistakes go, this is pretty big one.
Following the statement issued by Robert Mueller, where he said: “If we had confidence the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”, the US President tweeted on Thursday that he himself had “nothing to do with Russia helping me get elected”.
It definitely doesn’t look great written down, does it?
In full, the tweet read: “Russia, Russia, Russia! That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax…And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected. It was a crime that didn’t exist. So now the Dems and their partner, the Fake News Media,…..”
Surprisingly, he still hasn’t deleted the tweets, and they’re still available to see here:

Speaking to reporters in the White House, as reported by CNN, Trump also said: “No, Russia did not help me get elected. You know who got me elected? You know who got me elected?
“I got me elected. Russia didn’t help me at all. Russia, if anything, I think, helped the other side.”
Following Mueller’s statement on Thursday, Trump also posted a tweet claiming that if there is insufficient evidence, then a person is innocent.
Nothing changes from the Mueller Report. There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent. The case is closed! Thank you.
