He’s being hailed as a hero…
An American Airlines pilot made headlines recently when he tackled a drunk passenger who had thrown an air hostess onto the ground.
His name has not been released, but the pilot can be heard shouting, “Enough! You don’t put your hands on my flight attendant!”, before wrestling the unruly passenger, named Michael Kerr, to the ground.
The incident happened on July 21, but a video of the incident recently leaked online.

After landing the plane, the pilot came out to speak with Kerr, who then shoved an attendant and threatened to break the pilot’s jaw. He was restrained for 20 minutes until the police arrived.
Kerr has been charged with being intoxicated and disruptive, assault on a female, communicating threats and interfering with the duties of a flight crew or attendant according to the Charlotte Observer.
He has since been released and banned from flying while he awaits trial.
