Two houses attacked with suspect devices in Drogheda on Saturday

Two separate incidents took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Gardaí in County Louth are investigating following two incidents that took place in Drogheda in the early hours of Saturday morning, 27 April.

At approximately 20 minutes past midnight, a suspect device was discovered at a house in Ashleigh Heights.

A window was broken at the address, though no injuries were sustained.

In a separate event shortly before 4am, Gardaí attended the scene of an incident at Springfield Court.

A suspect device had been thrown through the window of a house in the area.

Once again, no injuries were sustained in the incident.

Both devices in question are believed to be petrol bombs.

Investigations are ongoing.
