A passenger has been detained in Indonesia after reportedly trying to hijack a plane that subsequently landed in Bali.

The Virgin Boeing 737 had flown from Brisbane in Australia. The passenger in question had attempted to enter the cockpit and take over the plane, but has subsequently been arrested. Troops boarded the plane, according to the BBC, with a Virgin official quoted by Indonesian television as saying that the passenger was drunk and the plane had not been hijacked.
