Dublin Airport has issued an update on this weekend’s flight situation

Relax... It's all going to be okay...

Dublin Airport

You can relax.

Dublin Airport has clarified that it is not asking passengers to arrive three hours ahead of their flight time this weekend.

We had reported earlier on Thursday that increased security checks meant people traveling through Dublin Airport would experience severe delays.

However, Dublin Airport Authority is now advising passengers that they’ll need to be at the airport just the usual 90 minutes before taking off.

“The new EU passport checks apply in Schengen countries, they do not apply in Ireland, so there is no change here,” said a representative for the DAA in a statement.

“Passengers should plan to arrive in the terminal building at least 90 minutes before their flight departure time irrespective of whether they are checking in on the web or at the airport. Some airlines advise passengers to arrive earlier than 90 minutes at busier times; passengers should consult their airline’s website before travelling to the airport.”
