A man in his 40s has died from injuries he sustained in a Dublin assault earlier this week. Gardaí said the man died at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital on Friday, following a serious assault on North Great Charles Street in Dublin 1 on Monday, RTÉ News reported.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. They are particularly keen to hear from road users or pedestrians who were in the North Great Charles Street area between 10pm and 10.30pm on Monday and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam. Delivery drivers and taxi drivers who were operating in the area at the time and who noticed any suspicious activity are also asked to make contact.
It is the latest investigation for gardaí in the capital, where recent operations have included seizures under Operation Meacan.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on (01) 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
