Dublin Bus hopes to resume services by 7pm on Monday evening.

Dublin Bus has advised customers that there will be significant disruption to its services due to weather warnings in place for Hurricane Ophelia.

Services will be withdrawn from 10am on Monday morning and it is hoped that they will resume from 7pm on Monday evening or when services can be operated safely.

Dublin Bus released a statement on Monday, which read: “Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that services are operating this morning. However due to the RED weather alert issued by Met Éireann, the following will apply for our services today:

“Morning peak services are operating as normal. There will be significant disruption to services from 10.00 to 19.00. Services will be withdrawn at 10.00. We hope to return services from 19.00 or when we can safely operate our services. However, customers should be aware that services may experience delays and disruptions to service and service levels will be dependent on weather conditions.

“Dublin Bus will review the situation on an ongoing basis and is taking advice from Met Éireann and the National Emergency Coordination Committee. The safety of our customers and our employees is of paramount importance.”

Updates will be delivered regularly on the Dublin Bus website and on the Dublin Bus Twitter account. Dublin Bus customers can also contact the customer service line on (01) 8734222.
