The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.

An 8-year-old child has been seriously injured following an attack by "a number of dogs" in Dublin on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred at a house in Tallaght at approximately 4pm on Sunday 22 March. Gardaí said that the child was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries and has since been removed to Children's Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin. The dog warden has been notified and the dogs have been confiscated. A full investigation into this incident is underway by Gardaí at Tallaght Garda Station. Gardaí said that no further information is available at this time.
