Anglo. Bank guarantees. A burst property bubble. Massive unemployment. Who knew this would be the final straw?
A group of around 50 protestors have taken to Dublin’s O’Connell Street after Garth Brooks’ five shows at Croke Park were axed over a botched planning application.
Brooks himself has said he will go to the last second to find a resolution to the problem, although he later refused a proposal to play five shows over three days – including three matinees – at Croker.
Here’s what Twitter has had to say about the protest…
I’m going to go into town and stand in front of the Garth Brooks protest like the guy who stood in front of the tanks in Tiananmen Square.
