€108,000 worth of stolen vehicles seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the stolen cars.

€108,000 worth of stolen vehicles have been seized in Lusk on Sunday, 3 April.

Gardaí investigating organised crime links to the theft of a BMW X5 jeep from Newry, Down in August 2019 carried out a search at a motor yard in Lusk, Dublin on Sunday.

The BMW X5 was discovered dismantled at the yard for the purposes of its individual parts being sold on.

Gardaí also recovered documentation itemising the value of each car part.

Four additional vehicles were seized by Gardaí with a total approximate value of €108,000 (this figure includes value of BMW X5).

A man, aged in his early 40s, was arrested at the scene and taken to Balbriggan Garda Station. He has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Court.
