Met Éireann have issued a nationwide weather warning

weather warning

Well… at least it isn’t snow…

We had been warned for a little while that we might be getting a White Easter this year, after an apparently endless Winter simply refused to take its awful weather and go play up North until November or so.

While that eventually proved to be a fruitless fear, the White Easter has been replaced by a Really Super Duper Soaking Wet Easter instead… which is… better?

Met Eireann sent out the yellow status weather-warning, which was issued at 8pm on Thursday evening with immediate effect, states as follows:

Hail Warning for Ireland

Heavy showery rain overnight with some wintry and thundery falls. Hail, in particular, will lead to treacherous driving conditions.

The status will remain in place until 10am on the morning of Good Friday.

So make sure your Easter Eggs are water-proof…
