An elderly woman has been left in critical condition after being stabbed this morning.
According to reports by The Echo, the woman, who is in her 70s, was stabbed on her doorstep this morning shortly after 9.30am.
The incident occurred on on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot.
According to Gardaí, the woman has been taken to St James Hospital.
