The hunters made a fairly quick escape.
A video has surfaced online that shows elephants being hunted in the Nakabolelwa Conservancy in Namibia by a group of American hunters.
The hunters creep on a large herd of elephants, as they prepare to take aim.
One of them whispers “Hit it between the eyes”, before both hunters captured in the footage let off a couple of shots each at the huge animal.
The shots clearly stun the elephant and he starts to show signs that he is in serious pain.
Seconds later, his entire herd start to run at the two hunters, leading the two men to run away with their tail between their legs.
“Reload!”, one of them tells the other to do, before they both abandon any hopes of them going on the offensive.
Instead, they turn, run, and scream like hell.

According to worldelephantday.org, an estimated 100 African elephants are killed each day by poachers seeking ivory, meat and body parts, leaving only 400,000 remaining.
As of 2018, there are still more African elephants being killed for ivory than are being born, causing elephant populations to continue to decline.
