Several people are understood to have been seriously injured.
Emergency services are currently at the scene after a filling station was destroyed in an explosion in Donegal.
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon (7 October) in the area of Creeslough.
Images shared on social media show an Applegreen Service Station having sustained major damage in the blast.
RTÉ says it is understood that several people have been seriously injured.
In a statement to JOE, Gardaí said they are assisting other emergency services at the scene of the “serious incident”.
They are also asking any road users intending to travel to Creeslough to consider alternative routes.
Meanwhile, the National Ambulance Service wrote in a Twitter update:
“A number of ambulances are attending the scene of a serious incident at a service station in Creeslough, Donegal.
“Please avoid this area at the moment if possible.”
