Is this bloody jackpot ever going to be won?

Not tonight it’s not anyway, with nobody managing to claim the cool €139,962,742 that was up for grabs. Three people throughout Europe claimed the biggest prize on the night - €484,443 for five numbers and one lucky star – while the biggest prize won in Ireland was €19,912. There were no winners of the top prize of €500,000 in the Ireland Only raffle, with 80 people claiming €2,000 in what turned out to be a decent Tuesday night’s work. In the main draw, there were tens of thousands of Irish winners of sums from €4 to just under €20,000, so while you might not have won big, there might be a consolation prize that’s not to be sniffed at. For the record, the winning numbers in Tuesday’s draw were 7, 12, 27, 38 and 48. The Lucky Stars were 6 and 9. With no winner of the jackpot in tonight’s draw, it now rolls over until Friday, when the jackpot will be somewhere in the region of €152 million. What a way that would be to kick start the Bank Holiday weekend.
