CCTV footage showed two suspects entering the premises with their faces covered.
15 people have been injured in an explosion which took place at a restaurant in the city of Mississauga, situated a short distance south of Toronto, after two suspects detonated an improvised explosive device.
Police have requested help identifying the two suspects, who were spotted on CCTV entering the Bombay Bhel restaurant with their faces and heads obscured, before fleeing the scene at approximately 10.30pm (3.30am Irish time).
Three people have been taken to trauma centres with “critical blast injuries”, according to the Twitter account of Peel Paramedics, while another 12 people are reported to have minor injuries.
The attack comes a month after 10 people died in Toronto after a man – believed to be a member of the Incel movement – drove a van into a packed footpath during lunchtime.
