The family of Jason Corbett has opened up about why they chose to take part in A Deadly American Marriage.
Jason's two children, Sarah and Jack, have given exclusive interviews in the Netflix documentary.
Jason's sister and her husband also feature in the true crime documentary.
The family issued a statement ahead of the documentary's release.
They said they took part to honour Jason, but also hope the documentary will raise awareness.
They explained: "Participating in the Netflix documentary was important to us because it highlights the profound impact of the absence of justice we faced in the judicial system.
“We are not alone in our experiences. We hope the documentary honours Jason’s memory while advocating for justice and ensuring that the voices of victims are heard, especially when the judicial system has failed them.”
"Jason would have wanted us to speak out on his behalf," they added.
"Though he may have been silenced, it is our responsibility to continue speaking on his behalf, they explained.
They also hope to support other victims of injustice by sharing their story.
In the documentary's trailer, Jason's son Jack says: "I never saw my dad ever lay hands on Molly."
However, Molly's father Tom displays no remorse as he says he has 'no regrets', a moment that led to the Jason's Journey group releasing a statement.
The statement reads: "How cold and callous Tom is, 'no regrets' for bludgeoning a man to death. No marks on him or Molly Martens. Self defence... don't make me laugh!
"Should have been 1st degree murder. I think you would all agree with me that Tom Martens' remarks on the Netflix trailer reflects exactly what a cold, calculating and callous killer he is. HE HAS NO REGRETS for his actions on August 2nd 2015. Jack and Sarah have to live with the consequences of his "no regrets" every day of their lives."
