Man (20s) killed in Dublin road collision

The incident took place on Sunday night.

A man in his 20s has died following a single-vehicle fatal road crash that occurred in Ballyfermot, Dublin, on Sunday night (3 October).

The man was a passenger in a car that went out of control on the Ballyfermot Road in Dublin 10 at approximately 10.35pm on Sunday.

He was later taken to St. James’s Hospital in a critical condition before passing away from injuries sustained in the collision.

A second passenger, a woman aged in her 20s, was also taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are said to be non life-threatening.

The Ballyfermot Road was subsequently closed off for a technical examination though has since reopened to traffic as of Monday morning.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly road users that may have dash cam footage and were travelling in the vicinity at the time of the incident, to come forward.
