Female pedestrian in her 60s killed in road traffic collision in Donegal

The incident took place on Sunday evening.

Gardaí have confirmed that a 69-year-old woman has died following a road traffic collision in Donegal.

The incident took place at approximately 8pm on Sunday 22 September.

The female pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a car at Tinnycahill in Clar.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and the body was then moved to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem is due to take place.

A technical and forensic examination of the scene is currently ongoing and at the time of writing, the road remains closed to traffic.
