Wet and windy.

Met Éireann has issued four separate weather warnings for Ireland on Saturday.

The warnings, although they come into effect at different times, affect Munster, Leinster, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

In all four warnings, Met Éireann warned of strong and gusty southwest to west winds with gusts in excess of 90km/h.

The first is a Status Yellow wind warning for Munster which is valid from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.

A Status Yellow wind warning for Leinster comes into effect at 12pm and expires at 6pm this evening.

In Connacht, a Status Yellow wind warning is in place from 3pm until 6pm while in Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal, the warning is valid from 4pm until 9pm tonight.

Overall, it will be wet and windy across Ireland this afternoon with heavy blustery showers bringing a risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms as well as some localised flooding.

On Sunday, rain will continue over the northern half of the country while some heavy rain will develop for a time in south Munster.

The rest of the country will see sunny spells and scattered showers elsewhere.
