Tragic news.
A four-year-old girl has died following an incident in Enniscrone in Sligo on Friday afternoon (5 August).
Multiple reports state that the incident occurred at a caravan park and that it is understood the child was struck by a vehicle.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the injured girl was taken to University Hospital Sligo where she later passed away, a Garda spokesperson told JOE.
A family liaison officer has been appointed to support the child’s family at this time.
