There's nothing wrong with being a tourist in your own country.

Kilkenny castle, Newgrange and Kilmainham Gaol are just a few of the 43 heritage sites around the country that are free to the public on Wednesday. On every first Wednesday of the month the Office of Public Works (OPW) gives free admission to some of the most beautiful and historic places in Ireland. A full list of all the castles and culture available can be found on www.heritageireland.ie.
