A man who branded the murder of Labour MP Jox Cox as a 'false flag' is now running in the by-election forced by her death.
Jack Buckby, a member of the fringe far-right party Liberty Great Britain, announced his decision to try and take Jo Cox's seat - blaming the Labour party for attacks such as the one that claimed Cox's life in a video posted to YouTube.
All major parties in the UK have declined the opportunity to contest Cox's seat as a mark of respect for the tragic circumstances of her death. Buckby, however, has taken to his Twitter to claim that "democracy is more important than your emotive backlash."
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Buckby has been roundly abused on social media for his decision.
