One man has died following a fatal farm accident in Galway on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on a farm in Crannagh, in Gort County Galway on the morning of 24 July. The man, who was in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The HSA is currently investigating the incident and a post-mortem is due to take place on Wednesday.
Crannagh is located near to Kinvara, about 35 miles away from Galway city.
Farming has widely been considered as the profession with the most fatality rates in Ireland. Since 2010, 191 farm deaths have occurred in Ireland.
In that time, the most dangerous months for farm deaths in Ireland have been May, June and July with 20, 20 and 28 deaths respectively.
