A Garda was admitted to hospital following a motorcycle crash that occurred in Dublin on Saturday morning (18 September).
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the two vehicle road traffic collision that took place in Drumcondra in Dublin 9 at around 9.45am.
The collision involved a car and an official Garda motorcycle on routine patrol and happened at the junction of Dargle Road and Drumcondra Road Lower.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed for the conduction of a technical examination but has since reopened, a Garda spokesperson said in a statement.
"Gardaí in Mountjoy are appealing for any witnesses to this collision who may have footage (including dash cam) to make it available to them in Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8600," the spokesperson added.
