Garda struck by car while attempting to make arrest in Dublin

Thankfully, his injuries were not life threatening.

A male Garda in his 30s was taken to hospital on Sunday evening after he was struck by a car while on duty in Dublin.

It’s understood the Garda was struck by a car at Dundrum Town Centre while on active patrol in the area.

He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

He and members of security staff were attempting to apprehend the occupant of the car when it fled the scene and struck the Garda.

No arrests have been made and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
