Gardaí appeal for witnesses following fatal crash in Cork

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Cork on Friday.

At approximately 4.30pm on Friday 31 July, a three car collision occurred at the junction of a filling station on the N25 in Burgess.

A 94-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital from the scene but passed away from her injuries on Sunday.

A 46-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in the incident but have since been discharged from hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the N25 at Burgess between 4pm. and 4.30pm on Friday 31 July, or anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the collision, particularly any road users with dash cam footage, to contact Midleton Garda Station on 021 4621550, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
