A man is believed to have a corrosive substance thrown in his face at a house gathering in Limerick last month.
A man in his 30s has been arrested in relation to an acid attack at a house party in Garryowen, Limerick last month.
Gardaí received a report in relation to an incident in which a man is believed to have had a corrosive substance thrown at his face at a house gathering on the night of 13 June.
The man presented himself to University Hospital Limerick for treatment and was later discharged.
On Thursday morning (16 July), Gardaí arrested a man aged in his 30s in relation to the matter.
He is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
