Gardaí arrest four people after “incident at a house” in Drogheda

Four men have been arrested in County Louth this morning (22 November).

Further arrests have been made by Gardaí in Drogheda as part of an ongoing investigation into an “incident at a house” in Moneymore Estate, Drogheda on the 11 November 2018.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that a number of houses were searched across Drogheda and four men were arrested during Thursday morning’s operation.

The men, who are all aged in their 20s, are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Dundalk and Drogheda Garda Stations.

None of the arrested men have been named.

This announcement follows five arrests which were made shortly after the incident on 11 November.

At the time, four of those men were released without charge as a file was prepared for the DPP. One man remained in custody.
