Gardai arrest a motorist that’s possibly Ireland’s ‘Worst Speeding Offender’ for 2016

The driver has since been arrested and brought to court.

One of the most important skills that any good driver should have is common sense and given the current adverse weather conditions that are prevailing throughout Ireland, it doesn’t take a genius to know that being being safe and smart on the roads is vitally important, as it always is.

At the present moment, Met Éireann have issued a status yellow fog warning for parts of Ireland thus making some trips on the road slightly more difficult, but despite these calls for smarter driving, there are always some people that refuse to listen.

An Garda Síochána  have done Irish motorists a favour after they arrested a driver that was caught speeding at 236km/h on the M8 near Fermoy, Co. Cork.

The driver has since been arrested and brought to court.

In case you’re wondering, in previous years, one of the ‘worst speeding offenders’ was clocked doing almost twice the legal limit at 234kph.

Be safe on the roads folks.
