Gardaí have urged people not to engage in this type of behaviour.

A driver was stopped for holding a mobile phone and filming while driving past the scene of a collision in Dublin 8 on Tuesday. It is against the law to hold your phone while driving, and Gardaí appear to be clamping down on drivers doing this, especially with regards to filming other collisions on the roads. Gardaí posted the news that a driver had been stopped on Twitter on Tuesday evening. https://twitter.com/GardaTraffic/status/1092825048170328069 They have said that a prosecution is to follow. Following a separate incident that took place on the M50 recently, Gardaí released a statement in which they asked people not to share images or videos that circulated after the crash, and that they were investigating those who originally took the footage.
