Ah here…
We always assumed that if you’re driving without a valid driving licence, you’d do everything within your power to avoid suspicion*, such as making sure your car is taxed and that you have your certificate of roadworthiness.
But it seems this doesn’t cross the minds of many people, as can be seen by the incident below in Tipperary.
Gardaí pulled over a vehicle in Cashel and discovered that the car was not taxed and had no certificate of roadworthiness, both of which are important documents if you want to have a car on the road.
But, upon inspecting the licence of the driver involved, they discovered that all was not what it seemed, and that the licence was, in fact, fake.
How did they discover this fact?
Well, the fadas on the licence were facing the wrong way…
We really enjoyed some of the responses to the Gardaí’s announcement…

That is a grave offence – no doubt he will be more acute in future.

Careful now…
Wonder would he get his money back for the dodgy licence 😂

*Not that we advocate this kind of thing of course
