Gardaí have charged a man in his 20s in relation to an apartment fire in Inchicore

A woman and three children were injured in the blaze.

A man in has been charged in relation to a fire which broke out at a flat in Tyrone Place, Inchicore, Dublin on 18 September 2017.

He was arrested on Monday 18 September along with another man in his 30s who was released from custody with a file due to be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The two men were detained at Kilmainham Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, in relation to the fire which resulted in the hospitalisation of four people.

The victims were a woman in her 30s who was taken to St. James’ Hospital, an 8 year old and a 12 year old boy, both of whom were taken to Crumlin Children’s Hospital, while a 7 year old girl was taken to Temple Street Hospital for treatment.

All four were the apartment’s occupants.
