A Gardai investigation is under way into the discovery of what appears to be the remains of a newborn baby at a Dublin beach.
The discovery was made shortly after 10am this morning at a beach in Balbriggan.

The scene is currently sealed off and a technical examination of the area is being conducted.
It’s understood that Gardaí are worried about the wellbeing of the child’s mother and are asking for her to come forward.
They are also appealing for anyone with information to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 8020510.
