An Garda Síochána are "investigating all of the circumstances" surrounding the discovery of a man's body in Tallaght yesterday.
The discovery was made at around 4pm, after which emergency services and Gardaí were called to the scene at Newhall Court. The man was pronounced dead "a short time later," according to Gardaí.
The deceased is understood to be in his 40s and is originally from Lithuania. His body remains at the scene, which is currently preserved pending a forensic and technical examination. The Office of the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau have been notified. He has not been publicly named.
Gardaí have not commented on the nature of the man's death.
From this point, the course of the Garda investigation will be determined by the outcome of a post-mortem examination. Enquiries are ongoing.
