Gardaí investigating death of one-year-old girl in Cork

It is reported that the incident involved the cord of a window blind.

Emergency services were called to a home in County Cork at lunchtime on Tuesday following a tragic incident.

RTE News are reporting that a one-year-old baby girl has died following an incident involving the cord of a window blind at her home.

Speaking to JOE, a spokesperson for they Gardaí confirmed that they are investigating a sudden death incident that occurred at a house in Delaney Park, Dublin Hill, Co. Cork on the Monday 11 September 2018 at approximately 1pm.

They also confirmed that an infant girl was brought to Cork University Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
