The incident occurred on Tuesday night.
Gardaí are officially investigating an incident which occurred in a Kilkenny pub where strippers performed at an x-rated party.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed to JOE that while no complaints have been made about the incident, Garda are carrying out an investigation into the party.
The incident happened on Tuesday night, two days after a local team won a hurling county final in the area.
Images of the event, some of which appear to show sex acts being carried out in a crowded pub, were shared on social media earlier this week and the story broke in some media organisations shortly after.
Kilkenny GAA officials are also investigating the incident and met with club officials on Wednesday night. They’re expected to review their findings over the coming days and will be making no further comment on the incident.
