Gardaí investigating after three people found dead with gunshot wounds in Kerry

A firearm was recovered at the scene.

An investigation is underway after the bodies of three people with gunshot wounds were discovered in Kerry. Gardaí in Listowel are currently investigating an incident at a domestic residence near the village of Lixnaw on Tuesday evening (7 September). Gardaí attended the scene and located the body of a female (60s) and a male (20s) inside the dwelling. The body of a male (60s) was also discovered outside at the rear of the dwelling. All three bodies have gunshot wounds. A firearm was also recovered at the scene. The State pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been contacted and the scene is currently preserved while investigations are ongoing. An Garda Síochána are not looking for any other person in relation to this incident, at this time.
