Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
A Garda investigation has been launched following a video circulating online appearing to show a group of youths attacking a man in Dublin city centre.
In the clip, several young people – some of which are carrying weapons – can be seen chasing after a man on Market Street South in Dublin 8 near the Guinness Storehouse.
The man is then shown falling to the ground, after which some of the youths continue to hit him before running away when witnesses attempt to intervene.
JOE reached out to An Garda Síochána about to video, to which a spokesperson confirmed that Gardaí have launched a probe into the “public order incident”, which they said occurred shortly before 6pm on Monday (14 August).
