Hurricane Ophelia is set to hit Ireland tomorrow, and the entire country is facing Red level wind-speeds.
The Gardaí have issued advice for anyone operating a vehicle tomorrow, and taken the predictably Mannion-esque stance of “no unnecessary journeys” for those looking to drive anywhere.
The advice is more stark for anyone looking to cycle anywhere. The Gardaí have said that tomorrow should be thought of as a “no bike day” with cyclists discouraged from using their bikes to get around.
There is also a special warning for those on motorcycles, and high-sided vehicles such as trucks. The Gardaí statement implores such drivers to be especially aware of the dangers posed by gale force winds.
The statement can be read below in full.

Ireland’s Road Safety Authority has also cancelled all driving tests that were scheduled for Monday October 16. The RSA confirmed this on their Twitter account.
Driving tests will be cancelled nationwide tomorrow as @meteireann has extended its status RED wind weather warning nationwide. #Ophelia
