Gardaí open investigation after man dies in Cork house fire

A man in his 40s has been confirmed dead after he was found at a burning house in Cork.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a call for a house on fire in Dunmanway shortly after 10.30am this morning (Sunday 14 October), and soon discovered the body of a man, who is believed to be in his 40s.

The deceased has not been publicly named.

The area has now been sealed off for a technical examination while the Gardaí investigate the circumstances of the fire.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and any witnesses are being asked to contact Clonakilty Garda station on 023-8821570.
