Gardaí continue to investigate the murder.

Gardaí investigating the murder of Lisa Thompson have urged a man who handed a document into a Garda station last week to make contact.

The body of Ms Thompson, 52, was discovered on Tuesday afternoon (10 May) at her home in Sandyhill Gardens in Ballymun, Dublin 11.

She had been the subject of a serious physical assault and had suffered significant injuries and her death occurred sometime before the discovery of her body.

In a new update on the case, a Garda spokesperson has said that, on the morning of Thursday, 12 May at around 7.10am, a male handed a document in the name of Ms Thompson to a Garda staff member at the front door of Finglas Garda Station.

This was before he left the station on foot.

An Garda Síochána are now appealing to this male to make urgent contact with the investigation team at Ballymun Garda station at 01 666 4400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Last week, Gardaí investigating Ms Thompson’s murder said they were keeping an open mind with regards to the circumstances surrounding the incident.
