Gardaí renew appeal in connection with attempted abduction in Dublin

Gardaí have released one man in relation to the incident.

Gardaí are again appealing for information in connection with an attempted abduction and assault that took place in Dublin on 6 January.

A 20-year-old male arrested in relation to the assault and attempted abduction of a female in her 60s has been released from the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act (1984).

A file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí continue to appeal to any person who was in the vicinity of Blackhorse Avenue on Monday 6 January between 6am and 8am.

Anyone who may have information about this incident who has not yet contacted Gardaí is being urged to come forward.

Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who may have camera footage that were travelling in the Blackhorse Avenue area at this time to contact them.
