Gardaí seek witnesses after young man hit by a minibus in Galway

Dublin taxi driver racist assault

The man is in serious condition.

According to a spokesperson for An Garda Síochàna, “Gardaí in Salthill, Co Galway are investigating a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the 28th of October 2018 at Indreabhán (Inverin), Co Galway”.

The collision between a minibus and a male pedestrian, who is 20 years old, occurred at “approximately 11.05pm on the Indreabhán (Inverin) to Carroe road at Tully, Indreabhán(Inverin)”. The male pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to University College Hospital Galway by ambulance for treatment. The driver was uninjured in the collision.

Neither the injured party nor the driver have been named by the Gardaí.

Gardaí are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have been on that stretch of road between 10.50pm to 11.15pm to contact them in Salthill Garda station on 091 514720, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
