Gardaí want them returned to their rightful owners.

Gardaí are looking to the public in order to track down the owners of the property they recovered from a Dublin area.

In May 2017, Gardaí conducted a checkpoint on Stockhole Lane, Cloughran, Co. Dublin and here they stopped a van containing a large amount of new and second-hand power tools.

The tools that were seized have a value of up to €26,000.

A majority of the tools that were seized by the Gardaí are specialised items that would only be used by car or heavy goods mechanics and Gardaí believe that the tools may have been stolen from such garages.

It is believed that some of the tools may have been taken in the UK and Northern Ireland. If you think you may own some of the property and wish to arrange a viewing, please email: [email protected] or contact Gardai in Ballymun on 003531 6664493.

Please note proof of ownership will be required.

Photographs of the property can be seen here
