A 50 year old German heavy metal fan suffered a blood clot on his brain following some vigorous headbanging at a Motorhead concert.

German doctors say they treated the fan whose headbanging habit ultimately led to his brain injury.  He was at the Motorhead (pic below) gig with his son engaging in some father and son headbanging (we’ve all done it) and was suffering from headaches two weeks after the gig. He has been successfully treated and is now on the road to hell recovery.

Thankfully, the risk to metal fans in general is so small they do not need to give up the shaking. Really sound German doctor, Dr Ariyan Pirayesh Islamian, one of the doctors who treated the man said “We are not against headbanging, the risk of injury is very, very low.” He then went on to say “Rock’n’roll will never die, heavy metal fans should rock on.”

How cool is that doctor? We’re calling him Doc Rock from now on.
